If you answered yes to these questions, we may have the job for you. We are seeking a talented Voice Engineer. This position will provide to perform various tasks relating to telephony operations, installation, and/or maintenance for local, off-site and/or remote locations. The Voice Engineer will provide coordination in the analysis, acquisition, and installation of remote hardware and software & will interface with internal/external customers and vendors to determine system needs. He / she will serve as technical specialist on a functional basis, for the resolution of telephony problems, will respond to Help Desk questions and will be on call support. Finally the Voice Engineer will assist in maintenance of technical architecture documentation for company’s voice infrastructure and monitor telecommunications links and telephony devices for failures and performance problems, and perform capacity planning.

Required skills


  • Associates degree, 1 or more years’ related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in telecommunications or related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in software/hardware voice network testing and support
  • Knowledge of voice and data communications systems, dial plans, switching architecture, telephony and wiring.
  • Experience with move, add and changes, fault isolation and resolution, and end-user support.
  • Ability to analyze telecom utilization and performance data.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and constructively with coworkers and executives at all levels.
  • Strong documentation skills with attention to detail.


Ancillary Qualifications:

  • Experience with OpenSips Software.
  • Experience with SQL Databases.
  • Experience with various telephony services: MicroCall accounting; Cisco Call Manager Express
  • Familiarity with Unified Messaging Architecture, IP addressing, Protocols: H.323, SIP, PSTN and carrier networks and product offerings, carrier circuit design and provisioning processes, circuit testing and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Strong project management skills, ability to manage large projects in scope and change in priority.
